Who you are calling
One manufacturer, one city
Kindling Range Service is an independent shop. We chose to work on Wolf cooking appliances and nothing else, because a technician who works on everything owns a little knowledge about a lot of machines.
What independent means here
It means exactly what the notice in the footer of every page says. We are not sent by the manufacturer, we are not appointed by it, and nobody at the factory has any say in what we charge or how we work. We name the brand because it is the only brand we service and you need to know that before you book.
What we hold
EPA Section 608 certification covers the refrigerant handling required on sealed systems — a federal credential held by the technician, not a manufacturer programme.
Licensed and insured in the State of Florida.
What the van carries, and what it does not
What we service: built-in kitchen cooking appliances — Wolf ranges, rangetops, cooktops, wall ovens, steam ovens, warming drawers and the hood above them.
What we do not: heating, furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps, air handlers and the duct systems that serve them. The only duct we work on is the one a kitchen hood exhausts through.
That second line is on the site because people were being sent here for the wrong thing. A furnace in January and a wall oven in December are not the same trade, and a search engine cannot tell them apart from the outside. We can: this shop opens cabinets, not air handlers. A kitchen hood has a duct and that duct is our work, right out to the wall cap. A duct that feeds a bedroom vent is somebody else's, and the sooner you call them the sooner the house is warm.
Where we go
Duval County and the neighbouring St. Johns and Clay County lines, within about 40 miles of downtown Jacksonville. That is a real radius, not a map with the whole state shaded in. If you are near the edge of it, call and ask rather than guessing.
How we talk about work
We will tell you when a repair is not worth doing. On a twenty year old built-in, a control board plus a sensor plus labour can get close enough to the cost of a replacement that the honest answer is to say so. You are paying us for the diagnosis either way, and the diagnosis includes that conversation.
Questions
Asked before booking
- Are you sent by Wolf?
- No, and the notice in the footer of every page says so. Kindling Range Service is independent. Nobody at the manufacturer appointed this shop, and nobody there has any say in what it charges or how it works. The brand is named because it is the only brand serviced here.
- Why only one manufacturer?
- Because a technician who works on everything owns a little knowledge about a lot of machines. Staying on Wolf cooking equipment means the failure patterns, the test order and the part numbers are the same ones every week rather than a fresh guess each visit.
- Will you tell me when a repair is not worth doing?
- Yes, and that conversation is part of the diagnostic you are already paying for. On a twenty-year-old built-in, a board plus a sensor plus the labour to fit both can get close enough to a replacement that saying so is the only honest answer.
- Is there work you turn down?
- Plenty. Anything that is not a Wolf cooking appliance, and anything that is not in the kitchen at all. Heating, air conditioning, heat pumps and the duct systems that serve them are a separate trade and we do not touch them. If a search engine sent you here for a furnace, it sent you to the wrong van.
- How far out do you go?
- Duval County and the neighbouring St. Johns and Clay County lines, within about 40 miles of downtown Jacksonville. That is a real radius rather than a map with the whole state shaded in. If your address sits near the edge of it, call and ask instead of guessing.
